This quilt is called Mexico (43x43 inches); inspired by a trip to Akumal, where I think the sun shines about nine times hotter than it does in New York. It has scrap piecing, fused applique and free motion machine quilting over all.

Hello, and welcome to my new blog. I'm starting with a photo of an art quilt called Mother Sun (18x14 inches). It was painted on white muslin, with lots of hand stitching over the painting. It includes some mirrors and sequins, and a found button. This piece was published in Somerset Studio magazine, and in Material Visions.
I'll be posting more quilts, journal pages and other work soon. Thanks for visiting!
