Today I crossed the Mackinac Bridge (click here for more info)

I started in White Bear Lake, MN, drove east across Wisconsin, then into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (the UP, for all you Yoopers). This gigantic bridge goes over the Mackinac Straits between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. It's the 3rd longest suspension bridge in the world. The highest part is 200 feet over the water, and it was beautiful!

Minnesota Time

I'm visiting my sister. Today we went to the Walker Art Center, and ate an early supper outdoors at the French Meadow Bakery. Ooh la la, it was good.

Johnny Fox, sword swallower, the Nun Show, falconry and a warhorse. We had a fun day at the Festival. Good Queen Bess is looking well, and the shire was filled with festivities.
