ESL students at the library today

Today we were doing some collage using magazine images to jumpstart the process.  They love to talk and they love ripping the magazines. We had some good conversations. These kids are Karen, born in refugee camps in Thailand.  They're so darn cute!

Frozen studio

It's darn cold! On the horizon you can see a dark blue sliver of Lake Ontario. The studio is being ignored because I start student teaching tomorrow. The academics are finished, the moment of truth is here. The kids are K-2nd grade, mostly from Ukraine. Wish me luck!

New Project

This is an experiment in color blending with beads, something new for me. No pattern, freeform beadweaving/netting.  It's a little scary...but here goes.
