Making a new necklace today
My friend Lynn has a necklace I liked enough to try to duplicate. Hers has a moonstone teardrop pendant. None of the local bead stores had moonstones, so I improvised.

Went kayaking with my class today
They are enthusiastic, and as you can see I am lagging behind. The other 14 students are already around the bend. In the creek.

I'm teaching at Nazareth College this summer
This morning we learned how to do a fire drill in English. This was a surprise. The students were unphased.

Lunch at Fujiya
Doing a comparison with the teriyaki chicken box at Shiki.
Both were fine, but Shiki's was prettier. Fujiya had more pieces of sushi, and no octopus. Shiki's had no dumplings, and was a dollar more expensive. Hmm. The jury is undecided.

This is a great name for a road

Lake O. is looking good today. My bike ride took me into Williamson today. It really is cooler near the lake (in more ways than one).
Lilies on Fisher Road
I see clumps of these along the country roads out here. Are they wild? Volunteers? Leftover from someone's garden?

Another thrilling bike ride photo!
In 1806, the Freeman Hopkins family came to my town in an ox-drawn wagon. And they stayed here. Through the winter. This is evidence that pioneers were mentally unstable.
This sign is on Lake Road, In-The-Middle-of-Nowhere, NY.
